LCD Projector
An LCD projector is a type of projector that passes light through 3 liquid crystal display color panels. LCD projectors generally can have a long lamp life, and the bulbs can be very bright. In addition, LCD projectors are compatible with zoom lenses and lens shifts which make them well suited for very large screens. However LCD projectors have a lower contrast ratio which results in less richness in the dark tones. LCD projectors also require more frequent maintenance and filter changes. Dust can settle on the LCD lenses and corrupt the quality of the image. It is important to ensure that the LCD projector being used in court has a replacement bulb, replacement filters, and clean LCD panels. A 4,000 lumen or greater projector that can display 16:9 aspect ratio as well as 4:3 aspect ratio is recommended.
